The Court extended the ban to use the program to copy DVD

American Court extended the ban on the use of RealDVD, which allows you to copy DVD, reported The Inquirer. The decision was made to the court on October 7, which dealt with a claim American film (MPAA) to a company RealNetworks, drafted RealDVD.

Date of next meeting is not called. We know only that it will take place once the judge will find out whether legally copied discs using RealDVD.

The company RealNetworks announced RealDVD in early September. The program copies the disc to hard drive without changing the system of data encryption. Developers argue that copying a movie using RealDVD did not violate the law on copyright protection.

For users RealDVD became available September 30. On the same day the MPAA has filed suit against RealNetworks, demanding a ban on the sale RealDVD. October 3, RealNetworks RealDVD removed from the site before the end of litigation.
