Deutsche Telekom admitted to the possible loss of 30 million subscribers

The German telecommunications company Deutsche Telekom reported a possible leak of personal data on 30 million of its subscribers. Leaking can occur because of errors in a security system, which has already been eliminated. It is reported Agency France Press.

Representatives of Deutsche Telekom said they had not found traces of third-party access to its database. However, they do not guarantee that until such time as a vulnerability in the security system has been eliminated, no one downloaded the information about the subscriber.

In the Deutsche Telekom stress that has not yet been recorded appearance on the black market the database. But it is possible that it has not yet found a buyer.

Deutsche Telekom is not the first time loses data on the subscriber. So, a week ago, the company admitted that in 2006 she had stolen information on 17 million subscribers. Then, the intruders had database T-Mobile, a subsidiary of Deutsche Telekom, where phone numbers, dates of birth and addresses of subscribers.
